Fist of the North Star!!!

I converted FOTNS and consider it fully working. This game is really good and the music is just awesome. This game is one of the reasons why I decided to convert AW games to Naomi!

You can see a video here: http://youtu.be/yJzZ9s0Pzv4

The donors will get their link in a couple of minutes.

If you'd like to try this game earlier than anyone else or show your support to this project please donate!.

$20/€15 will make you donor. If  you donate €40/$50 you'll also get the DVD with all converted games.

    1. As soon as I get 3.3v re-added to my Astro City 2 I'll run some tests. I only have a Naomi 2 at this time, netboot and compact flash.

  3. Working fine on my Naomi cab. Seems pretty comparable to the original cart as far as I can tell.
On a side note, I find the short in my 5&6 buttons so the kicks are working fine now. :)

    1. I dont' believe the N2 will boot with a N1 bios, although I could be mistaken. I can give it a shot, any specific bios revision you wanted to try?

    3. Check if your 26p harness is wired as this :

      1 AVCC
      3 STEERING
      5 AGND
      7 AVCC
      9 ACCEL
      11 AGND
      13 AVCC
      15 BRAKE
      17 AGND

If it isn't, rewired as above to test

    5. Just a note for anybody netbooting, when I created a new atomiswave folder I forgot to copy over the translate_c file with the Naomi boot script, this is what caused the school-boy error.

Thanks Guerrier-ame Vilca for trying to help.

Glad I donated, the conversions are absolutely stunning. What a great project!

    6. Can you give some more info on the translate_c file problem you were having? I started to get the same error but only after swapping to a US bios.

  11. Confirmed; not working on Naomi2.
I have my Naomi1 setup in my vertical cab right now so I couldn't play it to much, but I noticed that when playing as "Thouther" the game freezes/crashes sometimes in between matches; the screen just goes black. Other times while randomly in gameplay the game will freeze with the background turning white :(
Hope to see it playable on Naomi2 here sometime soon :)

  12. I was finally able to test all of the releases to date on my setup. I am running a Naomi 2, C revision bios with a 256mb Net Dim loading from compact flash card.

    Demolish Fist - Working
    Dolphin Blue - Working
FOTNS - Not Working, checks memory and loads data 3x, reboots to error 21
Faster than Speed - Not Working, checks memory and loads data 3x, reboots to error 21
Guilty Gear X 1.5 - Not Working, checks memory and loads data 3x, reboots to error 21
KOV Seven Spirits - Not Working, checks memory and loads data 3x, reboots to error 21
The Rumble Fish - Seems to be working. I loaded the test menu and returned to the game. The demo started (music played) however the graphics/game froze.

  13. Entered Test mode and changed settings, and it crashed with graphic errors on the splash screen.

Sitting on the Splash Screen for around 4-5 min just had the game crash (go to black).

  14. Ok got some time to mess with this and fotns and rumblefish both don’t work for me. Both give me an error 22 and I have to reset the Naomi board or pull and reseat the dimm to get it to go away. Demolish fist, ggx, kov7, and dolphin blue boot fine as do the Naomi games. Running the python script with python 2.7 and the crypto that matches it(32 bit xp Toughbook used for netbooting).

    My setup:
    Naomi 1 with US bios
    256 meg netdimm 4.02
Capcom I/O with a second power supply for the Naomi board.
