CPS3 converting tool v0.4

Hello,

I'm releasing the newest version of the tool so everyone can already have it. Don't get too excited, it doesn't contain any tables yet.

I have ready the SF3-NG table that works great on MAME but for some reason not in the real thing. As soon as I sort this out, I'll release it.

    Hey Darksoft, I tried your tool (make 3rd Strike into New Generation) to test. It updated (New Generation background) but now when I load my CPS3 setup its just a black screen. I tried using my original 3rd Strike disc to update back to 3rd Strike but its still a black screen. If I eject the disc and restart it tells me to put the disc back in, so I do, then I press 1P Button 1, and it says "Reading Disc..." then it goes to a black screen again. Is there any way to force it to rewrite the simm's, I can't seem to get into the test menu at all :'(

    Hi,

    why do you want to convert 3rd strike to NG in the first place :)) ?
    This has happened to me several times before. Just switch some of the SIMMS in place and then the bios will automatically ask you to upgrade.

    Did you use a 2048 bytes per sector ISO or 2352 bps ISO?
    Can you upload the ISO and send me the link?

    I've tried switching around the SIMM's but it doesn't seem to do anything :(

    I used CHDMAN -extractcd on the mame SF3 CHD, and burnt the iso to a CD. I used that method to install my 3rd Strike :/

    Try putting some Graphic SIMMS in the slots 1 and 2.

    It doesn't matter that it worked for SF3. The cue file can be different or the game version,etc. Write me an email and we'll sort it out.

    All good now, i got a New Generation security cart in the mail, and it rewrote the same NG CD and the CPSIII is working again! :D

    Had to use 0.3 to convert, 0.4 needed a table that didn't exist for (sfiii -> sfiii3)

    Hola! Primero que nada, realmente me encanta todo tu trabajo, me parece excelente y una gran fuente de inspiracion ya que tambien me interesa mucho trabajar con el hardware de los arcades.

    Ahora una pregunta/solicitud: esta herramienta puede convertir un 3rd Strike a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, y de vuelta a 3rd Strike cuando lo necesite? Si es asi, podrias subir la herramienta o mandarmela por algun lado? es que todos los links de host estan caidos.
