As many of you know, arcademodbios.com left the project due to lack of motivation and interest (It's true that feedback, test reports and donations have been real low), so now this is a one-man-project.
I'm working on fixing some bugs on some games and I'll release something asap.
I created a poll on the right side. Please let me know your opinion!!!

ReplyDeleteThank for continue the project. I´ll try to be a good tester if you want.
ReplyDeleteBest regards ando don´t let die this
Hi ^^
ReplyDeleteBad news :( ...... very bad news!
Hope help you when you want test atomiswave games ;)
This is not bad news, the project is alive and games will be released.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately without arcademodbios.com it will take longer but I'll release all games.
Thank you for the explanations :)
DeleteMy english is not very good ;)
It is a shame that arcademodbios.com has dropped out of the project and slowed progress down but it doesn't surprise me. He sells everything he works on, cash is his motivation. Whereas you are releasing the games for free the two don't really go hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I really hope you continue the project I think you will get a lot more interest and donations in future when more people find out about it. I think a better game such as Metal Gear 6 or Dolphin Blue will get help too as Demolish Fist isn't exactly the best game in the world. :)
Metal Gear duh I meant Metal Slug obviously. :)
DeleteThank you for all your hard work. It is really awesome that you do all that you do. I am really looking forward to Fist of the North Star and Samarai Shodown 6.
ReplyDeleteHey, was also wondering if you were planning to convert the gun games and if so would they be made to work with a normal sega infrared gun setup like confidential mission for instance? If so that would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Gun games can also be converted, but I have no idea how controls work....On the other hand, I think that Naomi needs led sensors around the monitor (can anyone confirm?) I know they are needed for Lindbergh for sure.
DeleteIt could work though with a Gun2Naomi hack.
Yes it uses the LED's. Lindbergh, NAOMI, Chihiro. All are the same, plug and play even. Same IO boards and all.
DeleteI have a Sportshooting USA and it just uses normal light guns. No sensors.
DeleteYes atomiswave uses normal lights gun without sensors, but NAOMI(and Chihiro and lindbergh) does not use normal light guns, it uses IR guns / sensors.
DeleteSo the task is to try and convert normal light gun atomiswave games to work on NAOMI with IR guns / sensors. When / if the time comes I can do testing. I have a few NAOMI IR gun cabs.
ok ok. I see now, Wasn't thinking.
DeleteAtomiswave lguns works like Dreamcast ones using SPG_TRIGGER_POS Holly reg, plus firing some bits on 600284 ;)
ReplyDeleteyou mean 005f80c4 for position? What about that 600284? what's the register name?
Deleteyes, that one.
Delete0x600284 dont have name, its AW custom, right after 0x600280 there is coin buttons.
Maybe it can be interesting to test an Atomiswave game on a Naomi cabinet using G2N (gun 2 naomi project) http://www.gamoover.net/tuto/gun2naomi
ReplyDeleteIf needed i know a few peoples who already have it up and running and who certainly be glad to do some test ;)
_n3o_,
DeleteCan you get me one of those? I prefer to test myself at home.
It will help me a lot speeding up conversion. I will obviously pay for that.
Please contact me at neogeo forum.
I'm not on neogeo forum but you can certainly contact Aganyte on Gamoover or other famous arcade forums, he is the leader of the G2N project. You can ask Iro too (on gamoover and/or arcade-area)
DeleteKeep up the good work dude, you're the man ;)
All gun games on Naomi/Chihiro use analog inputs to register a gun position on the screen. The official gun board and the Gun2Naomi project are juste devices that read the gun position with help from sensors, and then translate it to analog JVS values. So if the gun games that run on Atomiswave use analog input as well and someone manages to convert Atomiswave analog input to JVS analog input, then we are golden. Same goes for racing games.
ReplyDeletewould it be possible to port the ATOMISWAVE-TO-NAOMI converted games so they can be playable with an emulator i.e NULLDC ?? :D thats would be awesome ... can these converted games be ported into an emulator ?
ReplyDeleteEljose, no serás primo de elsemi, no?
DeleteCheck the post of metalicc in update 5, he posted some pictures already.
